This Week's Theme: The Holidays!

We have been reading stories and talking about being giving, and thankful. We sang lots of holiday songs and have been making lots of decorations for our classroom. The kids have been singing their own songs in front of the class and it has been wonderful to see them grow with confidence while they sing to their classmates:) The kids have been loving the snow. Jumping in it, sledding, making snow angels. It is turning into a beautiful winter wonderland and Christmas is only a few days away. We have made art projects for the kids to give as gifts and have been working on wrapping them up in time for the holidays. We will be making wreaths, decorating small trees, and making reindeer:)

This week the theme is "Outer Space"! We are learning the names of the planets and some constellations. We have been pretending to travel into outer space, going through the motions of putting on our space tanks and getting into our rocketships. All the children have decided that they want to become real astronauts too! For our art projects we have been making  a lot of space pictures and painting and decorating suns, moons, and stars.

Winter is offically here! Below are some pictures of the kids in the first snow:)

Here is a short story written by: The EP Class :)

Once upon a time...
there was a kangaroo.
She was a ballerina.
She was jumping high into the air, and twirling.
The kangaroo ballerina met a lion and a tiger.
They played and ran together.
There was a fort, and it fell down.
They fixed the for together.
Then a bear came, and knocked it down again.
They said, "No doing that again bear! It hurts our feelings!"
The bear said, "I'm sorry".
The bear helped them put if back together again.
They lived happily ever after.

:: all the kids helped to write this:)
