Holiday Traditions Continued

December 17-21


The Raccoon's have had two weeks of Holiday Traditions. Sheets were sent out to each family to send back with their favorite holiday tradition and a picture. On Wednesday they sat in a circle and talked about each child's favorite holiday traditions and passed them around one by one. Also on Wednesday all the students of the Children's Center decorated gingerbread houses with teachers and family members! Everyone had a great time and there were lots of leftovers!

Theme of the Week: Holiday Traditions Around the World

Dec 10-14


This week the Raccoon's learned about the different holidays we celebrate in December around the world! Some of the different holidays mentioned: Kwanza, Hanukkah, and Christmas. They have been discussing the different holiday traditions within their own families and within others. Overall a time to spend with family and our loved ones:)

Some of our holiday traditions at home:

  • Putting up decorations.
  • Dinner at Grandma's.
  • Grandma comes to visit.
  • Put up lights.
  • Put up tree lights.
  • Santa puts presents in our stockings.
  • Santa comes down our chimney.
  • I sleep and Santa comes to put up our tree.
