Last Bits of Summer:)

This summer sure has been fun but like all things, it is coming to an end. The school year is right around the corner and we are cleaning, organizing, and planning away! The school will be open the 23rd and 24th and our "Open House" is on Friday the 24th, from 3pm-5pm. So come and join us and help invite the current and new students to the Children's Center!

With all the new changes around the school a lot of progress is being made! The Early Preschool class has a new title: the Raccoons! The Preschool class will be: the Bears!

This previous week's theme (Aug 13-17th) was: "Wonderful Water!"

The Raccoons were asked questions like: What is water used for?

We received a great variety of answers: "water plants", "drink it", "play at the beach in it", and "shower in it".

Art Projects: Dying coffee filters and then spraying them with water to see how the colors bleed and blend together. They made sea creatures (practiced cutting), and painted with water colors!

Experiments: Made popsicles, did a sink/float experiment, and dyed water!

The Raccoons have been making weekly trips down to Kiwana's Park and have thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

This week's theme will be: Carnival!!

Here are some pictures of this past week:) Have a great weekend!!
