This Week the EP is Learning the 5 Senses!

This week the EP is learning what the five senses are: sight, taste, touch, hear, and smell! We have been showing pictures and reinforcing the senses by pointing to our very own eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and hands.

This Thursday Ms. Colleen brought out the popcorn machine and we watched the popcorn with our eyes, heard it popping with our ears, we smelled the popcorn with our nose, and we tasted it with our mouths. The kids loved using all of their senses at once and are noticing they use their senses for many things.
Our art project this week was making our faces! The EP glued their hair, eyes, eyebrows, mouths, nose, ears, and hands onto a piece of construction paper.

Don't forget to take your art projects home on Friday!

At Circle Time We Are Learning:

  • Letter of the Week: Bb
    • inside our "B" bowl we showed the EP a boat, a basketball, a banana, a bottle, a bell, a bat, and the upper and lower case letter B!
  • Shape of the Week: A Triangle
  • Color of the Week: White
  • Rhyming Words of the Week: Dog and Frog
  • Pledge of Allegiance
We are also learning the seven days of the week. Each day we talk about what day it is and sing our song to help remember they days.
The EP class is counting and is up to 15!

  1. Thank you so much for all of the blog posts. What a wonderful way for us (and extended family) to see what our child does at preschool! It is much appreciated, and very entertaining! :) -Melissa Gordon
